  3. Freedom & Freedom of Speech

  7.      I have served most my adult life in the Armed Forces guarding
  8.      those freedoms we have all grown accustomed to. This is why I
  9.      feel it most important to speak out on this issue. We have always
  10.      been told ôfreedom isnÆt freeö, well that may never be more true
  11.      than right now.

  13.      The latest telecommunications laws make freedom of speech on the
  14.      internet a crime. While it is true that the medium allows those
  15.      individuals who would commit criminal acts another avenue of
  16.      approach to their victims, I can not agree with the suppression
  17.      of free speech as the solution.
  18.  
  19.      I have seen a recent trend in law making as of the late to try to
  20.      outlaw activities as a PREVENTION to problems, this never works.
  21.      ItÆs like outlawing walking across the street to avoid people
  22.      getting run over. Sounds logically at first, but upon further
  23.      thought, never addresses the real problem, and itÆs only real
  24.      effect is to take freedom from the law abiders, those that that
  25.      it is intended for, shun it!

  27.      A healthy dose of common sense will allow anyone to realize this
  28.      latest law simply doesnÆt make sense.
